Shelly White
Yoga for peri-menopause - Thursdays 9.45 - 11am
About me
My name is Shelly, I’ve been practising yoga since 1999, and teaching since 2010. I’m a registered Senior Yoga Teacher, and my interest lies in the therapeutics of yoga. I have studied with many brilliant teachers to provide deeper applications of yoga and specific styles of yoga.
I aim to create a friendly, nurturing environment, where you can explore the benefits that yoga can bring to your individual body (physically/mentally/emotionally/energetically). It is my aim that through my guidance, I can help provide you with tools for self-care and empowerment.
I hope that through your practice with me, you grow in your practice at home on the mat, but also by bringing yoga into your everyday life, so that yoga becomes not something that you do, but rather who you are. We all have an abundance of wisdom, beauty and clarity within ourselves. All we ever need, we already have. By connecting to ourselves, we open the gateway within.
About the class
I offer yoga for Perimenopause at The Open Door on Thursday mornings 9.45 – 11am, during term time.
These are beautiful, nurturing classes to soothe the nervous system and provide rest, relaxation and connection. They are uplifting, informative, and empowering; breaking some of the common myths and misconceptions of menopause. We often start with an informal chat, sharing our experiences and signposting to further resources. Each class will differ, but combine gentle hatha, yin and restorative yoga, with specific breathing, visualisation and meditation practices designed to support many of the symptoms of menopause. These are simple, practical skills that can be applied to everyday life, and may help with some of the following common symptoms:
Fatigue
Low energy
Low mood
Anxiety/Overwhelm
Insomnia
Irritability
Hot flushes
Headaches
Bone density
Book for the term: £12.50 per class
Drop-in: £14 per class.
All are very welcome, regardless of age, stage of menopause, and those who do not identify as female. Please do contact me to discuss the classes or for more information on: shelly@yogaspiral.co.uk or www.yogaspiral.co.uk
