Sami Howard

Sami has worked with parents and families for nearly twenty years. Having come from the voluntary sector where she managed community projects, parent training and support groups, she then began further training in 2020 to become a Birth & Postnatal Doula, Infant Massage Instructor and Antenatal educator. Sami is passionate about support families through the huge transitions of pregnancy, birth, postpartum and early parenthood and believes strongly in the power of community.
Sami has worked with hundreds of families in Lewes over the past five years; facilitating workshops, peer support groups, training courses, play sessions and postnatal doula support. She holds regular Baby Massage courses and monthly Pregnancy Circles at The Open Door. In 2025 Sami co-founded the Lewes Birth Collective – which aims to improve how families access information and support in Lewes.
“I believe that with the right support mothers can begin life with a new baby feeling nourished and powerful.”
Sami trained with the International Association of Infant Massage, Red Tent Doulas and Conscious Birthing and holds a PTLLS (Preparing to Teach in the Life Long Learning Sector) qualification.
