Feldenkrais
The Feldenkrais Method combines science, biomechanics, movement and neuroplasticity, via gentle and simple lessons to bring about profound changes in our comfort and how we move.
I qualified as a Feldenkrais practitioner in 2014 and have been teaching group classes since then and seeing individuals for private sessions. People come to the Feldenkrais Method for many different reasons, including:
to rehabilitate from injury or pain
to retain flexibility, coordination and balance as they age
to be more upright and comfortable in everyday movements
the calming effects on the nervous system, which can help with anxiety
to support with recovery from neurological conditions
In individual sessions clients sit or lie on a low table and through gentle touch and movement each session is tailored to the clients specific needs. I see clients individually on Tuesdays and Fridays (and occasionally on Saturdays) at The Open Door Lewes.
