Counselling

I am a qualified integrative counsellor. This means I can draw on a range of psychological approaches and tailor my approach to suit your needs as they evolve, whether you need someone to sit with you in your pain, enable you to find acceptance, explore changes or conflicts in your sense of self, heal wounds from the past or make positive changes for the future.

I have over ten years’ experience in the NHS working psychotherapeutically with clients with depression, anxiety and physical health challenges.

I offer a calm, warm, confidential and non-judgmental space, a chance to feel heard and supported, to pause and think about you and what you need, process your thoughts and feelings, make sense of your experience, develop new perspectives and greater self-awareness. I will seek to understand your experience with empathy and compassion.

We may work together to identify and explore how certain patterns may have developed as a result of your past experiences, notice things that you tend to do which are keeping you stuck, explore possible motivations for continuing to do them and perhaps experiment with doing something different, and enable you to find effective ways of coping and a rich and meaningful life.

I have experience of helping people with a wide range of issues including:

  • Anxiety,

  • Depression

  • Stress

  • Shame

  • Bereavement and loss

  • Relationship or family issues

  • Health challenges

  • Adverse childhood experiences

  • Identity including sexual identity

  • Trauma, Change and transition

Fees: £55 for a 50-minute session.
