Coaching for Resilience, Wellbeing & Personal Effectiveness

Rachel Briggs is a practitioner in aromatherapy, Swedish Massage, Reflexology at The Open Door clinic.

As a qualified, independent psychologist I offer rigorous, research-based approaches to support both your personal and professional development and wellbeing.

For over 20 years I have worked as an applied psychologist in a range of roles. Over that time, through years of research and practice, I’ve come to focus on what I believe to be some of the key components of human nature: our identity and our efforts to live a resilient life.

Over these years I have worked with a fascinating variety of people from all walks of life who are looking to find ways to manage the challenges they face day to day. From refugees settling in new countries, to parents returning to work or those looking for a better work-life balance. I use a range of empirically-based methods to support my work, such as:

·      Cognitive Behavioural Coaching: Within a safe, confidential coaching context, thoughts, feelings and behaviours are explored to find practical, realistic and achievable steps to make positive changes happen.

·      Personality Assessment: Using the NEO PI-R, the gold-standard measure of personality, a full and detailed personality description is provided that can prove to be a valuable resource for a variety of people in both their professional and personal lives.

 ·      Emotional Intelligence Profile: A detailed Emotional Intelligence profile explores how your thoughts, feeling and behaviours come together and impact on your relationships and everyday behaviours and work performance. A full executive report is provided, along with developmental coaching.

·      Social Identity Mapping: An exploration of the variety of different identities you live each day, and the impact they have on your life. SIM explores the rules and expectations you live by, where they come from and the impact they are having day to day. It also explores the identities you aspire towards, and how to begin living them.
