Mindful Eating/Weight Management Coaching
If you’re struggling to maintain a weight that you’re comfortable with & are fed up with counting calories & restricting what you eat, I invite you to try another approach – that of mindful eating. This approach focuses on the why, when, where & how of eating rather than simply on what you eat. It can teach you how to become a ‘normal eater’, how to deal with emotional or comfort eating, how to become more tuned in to your needs, and how to regain the enjoyment of food that is sadly lost when we are continually bound by external rules & restrictions (diets).
Mindful eating can be helpful for anyone who has a difficult relationship with food, & sessions can be tailored to your own individual needs. We can explore issues such as body image, assertiveness, basic nutrition/meal planning, or other areas which may impact on your ability to move forward.

If you suffer from stress & anxiety you are not alone! It is responsible for more sick leave from work than any other condition & causes many physical symptoms of ill-health. Stress cannot be eliminated – it is part of life, & there will always be challenging situations for us to deal with. We can however look at how we respond to such situations/events, & explore more healthy ways to deal with them. I offer a safe space to help you to do this.
I work, amongst others, with parents who have busy & stressful lives; those whose children have 'flown the nest' & who wish to explore & discover a new sense of purpose & fulfilment in their lives; menopausal & post-menopausal women who are struggling to make sense of this challenging time of their lives; & young adults who are trying to find their way in the world & may need help building their confidence or self-esteem.
My coaching is based on mindfulness & compassion, & will encourage you to focus on your strengths & potential rather than your problems & shortcomings. My coaching style is holistic, practical & solution-focused. I use a variety of interventions, including cognitive behavioural coaching, positive psychology, NLP, visualisation, & breathing & relaxation techniques.
My fees are £45 per 50 minutes.
