The IBS Nutritionist
It’s not normal to have IBS and gut issues. It may be common, but it’s not normal.
It’s my mission to find out why you might be suffering, and address the root cause. That could be a vitamin or mineral deficiency, a food intolerance, a hormone imbalance or an issue with the micro-organisms in your gut, among many other possibilities.
How do I find out? Through an in-depth history of your health, and clinical tests to get to the bottom (If you’ll excuse the pun) of your problem. I need to know exactly what you’re dealing with, and why. Then, I can get to work helping you.
IBS is my speciality, but if you’re struggling with skin complaints, menstrual or fertility problems, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, pain, or your mental health, you’re quite likely to have IBS symptoms too. This is no coincidence. Though Hippocrates was incorrect in suggesting that all disease begins in your gut, evidence shows that many modern chronic diseases do.
Our bodies need the right balance of nutrients to work properly. In today’s world, it’s almost impossible to achieve that. If you’re reading this, you might have come to accept being tired and overweight or being in pain and always in the loo as part of your life. You may have been told that it’s normal.
So why don’t you feel normal? I can help you take back your health, starting today.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT) and the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC).
With the help of a nutritional therapist, I changed my life. I believe everybody should be able to do the same.
Nutritional therapy is about using food and natural supplements to support your body’s ability to heal itself. This takes detective work to uncover what your body needs and put together the puzzle.
Your support from me will come in a personalised package of four sessions. The initial session is a deep dive into your history and the issues you’re facing today.
Then, I’ll email you a plan which includes detailed advice on what to eat, botanical medicines, supplements, lifestyle recommendations, or a specialised diet plan, for example, to identify food intolerances or lose weight. I’ll also recommend clinical tests, either through your GP if possible, or Biolab in London.
I devote the second and third sessions to explaining and exploring test results and tweaking your diet and supplements accordingly. You may need further testing. Each person will have their own individual response to each intervention, so this stage can be daunting. I’m available for scheduled phone calls and over email throughout your package.
In the fourth session, we’ll review what I’ve found out and what’s happened since our first session. I’ll talk to you about why and how your symptoms have changed, and how you can maintain your health without my help.
IBS package: One initial 60-minute session and three 45-minute follow-ups: £290
